Thank you to all of you that have already handed them in.

6A and 6B will finish Freak the Mighty on Monday or Tuesday.  Our final exam will be the next day.  We will also watch the movie this week.  Students may bring snacks to eat and drinks during the movie.  Anyone without a permission slip WILL NOT be permitted to see the movie.  They will go to the computer lab and work on an alternate assignment for a grade.

When we have completed Freak the Mighty, 6A and 6B students will begin their Poetry Unit.

6C students finished Peter Pan on Friday and/or over the weekend.  Our final test on Peter Pan is Monday.  We will watch the movie on Tuesday.  Students may bring snacks and drinks to view movie.  Students will also work on their research project this week.  I have signed out the IPAD cart and have most of the supplies they need for this mini-project.  Students were given information and rubric last week.

EOG REVIEW WILL CONTINUE AS WELL.  EVERYDAY FROM 7:45-8:20, STUDENTS ARE GUIDED THROUGH A READING PASSAGE FOR PRACTICE.  DURING REGULAR LANGUAGE ARTS CLASSTIME, WE WILL CONTINUE TO REVIEW MAIN IDEA, DETAILS, CAUSE/EFFECT, FACTS, OPINIONS, FIGURATIVE LANGUAGE, GRAPHS, CHARTS, REFERENCE MATERIALS, AUTHOR'S PURPOSE, MOOD, TONE, INFERENCE, ETC, ETC, ETC.

If any student is doing the 40 Book Challenge, I need those forms in by Wednesday (14th) of this week.  It is not mandatory for students to participate.  No grades will be affected because of the 40 Book Challenge.
