6A begins PAL packets and other important information...

6A will begin doing P.A.L. Packets ( Parent Assisted Learning) for homework.

Dear Parent or Guardian:
Here is your chance to help him or her practice this important skill.
In this PAL Packet you will find a short activity for your son or daughter to do. Please do the activity and "The Back Page." Then sign your name on "The Back Page" and have your son or daughter return it .
Thanks for your help.

Each week your student will receive a topic.  It could be grammar, poetry, newspapers, or other forms of EOG practice.  You will be asked to help your child review and practice that skill.  Each packet will be graded.

We will begin grammar packets on Tuesday.  Please look for P.A.L. information  before the end of the week.

6th graders are finishing Peter Pan storyboards and scripts.

We did not get to Pourquoi How/Why Stories last week.  We will read and write them this week.

There will be no Vocabulary test this week-we are still working on elements of short stories.

Week of October 15th

I was a shopping fool this weekend!!  I have so many new items for the classroom and I can't wait to show them to all of you.

I got some costumes for Peter Pan.

We have brand new vocabulary workbooks for each student.  I found some very helpful books on Common Core.  We have new games and activities for educational centers.

6A will receive their new vocabulary workbooks on Monday.  Each student is responsible for their book.  If it is lost or ruined, the student will need to purchase a new one.  So please, please, please protect these and remember to bring them EVERY DAY.

Homework will be in this workbook each night.  We are beginning with Chapter 13-Words with Common Roots.

6B and 6C will get their books later.  For now, they need to continue with Peter Pan words.
